牧场管理实践的根本目标在于维持高水平的乳产量。部分管理策略的调整取得了显著成效,亦有一些措施效果有限,甚至在某些情形下,回归传统做法成为必要。现代技术的应用,如自动化挤奶系统、智能饲喂设备及自动清粪装置,在为生产管理带来便利的同时,也给牧场管理者提出了新的挑战。值得强调的是,只有在优良饲养条件下维持健康状态的动物,方能产出安全、优质的原料乳。原料乳的化学成分、卫生指标及微生物学品质,直接影响乳制品的质量与货架期,进而攸关整个乳业的经济效益。上述管理目标与挑战,正是当前乳业科学研究持续聚焦的核心议题。
