Frontiers in Robotics and AI (IF: 2.9|CiteScore: 6.5)期刊栏目主编(Specialty Chief Editor)剑桥大学(University of Cambridge)的Fumiya Iida教授、期刊栏目主编(Specialty Chief Editor)利物浦大学(University of Liverpool)的杨辰光教授、期刊审稿编辑(Review Editor)剑桥大学(University of Cambridge)的王慧疆助理研究员,三位将围绕Tutorial on writing and publishing robotics papers to grow your profile as a researcher展开分享。
【嘉宾介绍】
Fumiya Iida Professor
University of Cambridge
Fumiya Iida is a university Reader on Robotics at Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge. He is also the director of Biologically Inspired Robotics Laboratory and a fellow of Corpus Christi College. He received his bachelor and master degrees in mechanical engineering at Tokyo University of Science in Japan, and Dr. sc. nat. in Informatics at University of Zurich in Switzerland. During his PhD project, he was also engaged in biomechanics research of human locomotion at Locomotion Laboratory, University of Jena in Germany. While he worked as a postdoctoral associate at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in USA, he awarded the Fellowship for Prospective Researchers from the Swiss National Science Foundation, and then, the Swiss National Science Foundation Professorship hosted by ETH Zurich. In 2014 he moved to the University of Cambridge as the director of Bio-Inspired Robotics Laboratory. His research interest includes biologically inspired robotics, embodied artificial intelligence, and soft robotics, where he was involved in a number of research projects related to robot locomotion, manipulation, and human-robot interactions leading to some start-up companies. He was a recipient of the IROS2016 Fukuda Young Professional Award, and Royal Society Translation Award in 2017.
分享主题:Paper writing tutorial for efficient and effective writing of robotics research
How can you maximize your time and produce excellent robotics research articles? Professor Iida will share his insights on the manuscript writing process for in robotics and how to effectively present your research.
杨辰光 Professor
University of Liverpool
Professor Chenguang (Charlie) Yang holds the Chair in Robotics with Department of Computer Science, University of Liverpool, UK. He was a Professor of Robotics with University of the West of England, Bristol, leading Robot Teleoperation Group at Bristol Robotics Laboratory. He is a Fellow of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), Aisa-Pacific AI Association (AAIA), and British Computer Society (BCS). He is the corresponding Co-Chair of IEEE Technical Committee on Collaborative Automation for Flexible Manufacturing (CAFM), an Editor-in-Chief of Robot Learning, a Specialty Chief Editor for Computational Intelligence in Robotics of Frontiers in Robotics and AI, and a Senior Editor of IEEE Transactions on System, Man and Cybernetics: Systems. He was the President of Chinese Automation and Computing Society in the UK (CACSUK), and have served as general chair of the 27th International Conference on Automation and Computing (ICAC) and the 25th IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT). He was awarded EPSRC Innovation Fellowship (2018-21) and EU FP-7 Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship grant (2011-13). As the lead author, he received the prestigious IEEE Transactions on Robotics Best Paper Award (2012) and IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems Outstanding Paper Award (2022).
分享主题:Impact: Tailoring your authorship practices to deliver visibility for your paper
Visibility is a key factor for your career as a robotics researcher. Professor Yang will explain techniques that can help your paper be more visible in the academic community, increasing citations and the public awareness of your work.
