2023 IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica Conference “元宇宙:控制、滤波与优化研究”会议旨在为广大科研人员、控制工程师和学生提供一个学术交流的平台,探讨当前元宇宙的研究热点与挑战,分享在控制、滤波与优化等方面的最新进展。会议邀请到来自中国、英国、澳大利亚、加拿大、印度、巴西等国家的院士和著名学者在大会主论坛交流最新研究成果。

Antonio M. N. Lima was born in Recife, PE, Brazil, in 1958. He received bachelors and masters degrees in electrical engineering from the Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB) in 1982 and 1985, respectively. He received the doctors degree in electrical engineering from the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse in 1989. He is a recipient of the Leopold Escande Prize 1989. He worked at the Escola Técnica Redentorista from 1977 to 1982 and was a Project Engineer at Sul-América Philips from 1982 to 1983. From March 1983 to March 2002, he worked at the Electrical Engineering Department (DEE) of UFPB, where he became a Full Professor in 1996. At UFPB, he was a Coordinator of Graduate Studies from 1991 to 1993 and from 1997 to 2002. Since April 2002, he has been with the DEE, Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG), where he is a Full Professor. He was the Head of the DEE/UFCG, from 2002 to 2010. In 2010, he was admitted to the National Order of Scientific Merit in the category of Commander. In 2014, he was elected as a Full Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Engineering. He was President (2015-2017), Vice-President (2013-2014), Secretary (2002-2004), and Member of Board of Directors of the Brazilian Society of Automation. He was Member of the Advisory Committee for Electrical and Biomedical Engineering at the CNPq (Sep/2003-Aug/2006) and Member of Evaluation Committee for the Engineering IV Graduate Programs at the CAPES (1998, 1999, 2000, 2001). He was the Coordinator of Evaluation Committee for the Engineering IV Graduate Programs at the CAPES for two terms (Triennials 2008/2010 and 2011/2013). His current research interests are in the fields of power electronics, automatic control, embedded systems, electronic instrumentation, robotics, and biomedical engineering.

Kamal Al-Haddad is a Professor with the Electrical Engineering Department, Ecole de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS), Montreal, QC, Canada where he has been the holder of the senior Canada Research Chair in Electric Energy Conversion and Power Electronics since 2002. He is a Member of the Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and a Fellow member of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. He is a Life IEEE Fellow. He was IEEE IES President 2016-2017. He is an Associate Editor of the Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IES Distinguished Lecturer, and the recipient of the 2014 IEEE IES Dr.-Ing. Eugene Mittelmann Achievement Award. He was awarded the 2023 IEEE MEDAL IN POWER ENGINEERING. He has been elected the IEEE 2022 division VI director elect.

王子栋,现任英国伦敦Brunel University讲席教授,欧洲科学院院士,欧洲科学与艺术院院士,IEEE Fellow,中国自动化学会会士,International Journal of Systems Science主编,Neurocomputing主编。多年来从事控制理论、机器学习、生物信息学等方面研究,在SCI刊物上发表国际论文七百余篇。现任或曾任十二种国际刊物的主编、副编辑或编委。曾任旅英华人自动化及计算机协会主席、东华大学国家级领军人才、清华大学国家级专家。

Bijnan Bandyopadhyay received his B.E. degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Calcutta, Calcutta, India in 1978, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi, India in 1986. In 1987, he joined the Systems and Control Engineering group, IIT Bombay, India, as a faculty member, where he is currently a chair professor. In 1996, he was with the Lehrstuhl fur Eleck-trische Steuerung und Regelung, RUB, Bochum, Germany, as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow. He was awarded Distinguished Visiting Fellow by the Royal Academy of Engineering, London in 2009 and 2012. Professor Bandyopadhyay is a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering, National Academy of Sciences, and the Indian Academy of Sciences. He has 400 publications which include monographs, book chapters, journal articles, and conference papers. He has guided 37 Ph.D. theses at IIT Bombay. His research interests include the areas of multirate output feedback based discrete-time sliding mode control, event-triggered sliding mode control, and nuclear reactor control. Prof. Bandyopadhyay served as Co-Chairman of the International Organization Committee and as Chairman of the Local Arrangements Committee for the IEEE ICIT, Goa, India, in 2000. He also served as one of the General Chairs of the IEEE ICIT conference, Mumbai, India in 2006. Prof. Bandyopadhyay has served as General Chair for IEEE International Workshop on VSSSMC, Mumbai, 2012. He has also served as Associate Editor of IEEE Transaction on Industrial Electronics and IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics. He is currently serving as Associate Editor of IET Control Theory and Applications. Prof. Bandyopadhyay has been awarded the IEEE Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE IES society in 2019. Professor Bandyopadhyay is an IEEE Fellow.

Jun Wang is the Chair Professor of Computational Intelligence in the Department of Computer Science and School of Data Science at City University of Hong Kong. Prior to this position, he held various academic positions at Dalian University of Technology, Case Western Reserve University, University of North Dakota, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also held various short-term visiting positions at USAF Armstrong Laboratory, RIKEN Brain Science Institute, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering and an M.S. degree from Dalian University of Technology and his Ph.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics. He is an IEEE Life Fellow, IAPR Fellow, and a foreign member of Academia Europaea. He is a recipient of the APNNA Outstanding Achievement Award, IEEE CIS Neural Networks Pioneer Award, CAAI Wu Wenjun AI Achievement Award, and IEEE SMCS Norbert Wiener Award, among other distinctions.
